Our spirit

Mshwar works because people trust what they read on it. Share real experiences, treat people and places with respect, and help others plan better trips across Lebanon.

Writing reviews

• Review only experiences you took part in. Reviews open after a confirmed or completed booking.
• Be honest and specific: what went well, what didn't, and who it suits.
• Don't accept money, discounts or gifts for a review, and don't review a business you work for, own or compete with.
• Reviews cannot be rewritten after they are posted, so check yours before you submit it.

Be respectful

• No hate speech, sectarian or religious insults, harassment or threats.
• Respect local customs, and religious and heritage sites.
• Don't share other people's personal details, and don't post photos where people can be identified without their permission.
• Criticise the experience, not the person.

Not allowed anywhere on Mshwar

• Illegal content, or content that encourages dangerous or illegal activity.
• Fake reviews, fake listings, impersonation or misleading information about safety, prices or access.
• Spam, advertising, or links that move bookings or payments off Mshwar.
• Sexual content, graphic violence or content that exploits anyone.
• Photos, text or music you don't have the right to share.
• Malware, or attempts to trick people into giving away passwords or payment details.

For businesses

• Keep listings accurate, including photos, prices, meeting points, accessibility and what is included.
• Reply to reviews calmly and professionally. You cannot edit, hide or delete a review; if you think one breaks these guidelines, report it.
• Don't ask guests to change or remove reviews, don't offer rewards for positive reviews, and don't invite only happy guests to review.
• Don't pressure guests, and never ask them to pay outside Mshwar.

Group trips

Share trip links only with people you trust. Keep suggestions and votes friendly, and remember that everyone in the group can see them.

Reporting and moderation

Use the Report option on a review to tell us about a problem. For a listing, a message or anything else, contact us through our Contact page. Our moderators review reports, may hide content while they look into it, and record every decision.

If you think we got a decision wrong, contact us through our Contact page and we will look at it again.

When the guidelines are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, give a warning, limit features, or suspend or close an account. Where the law requires it, or someone's safety is at risk, we may inform the competent authorities.
